Published separately in this newsletter is the annual reminder of some of the more pertinent and obvious rules and regulations at CYC. PLEASE, read these and communicate them to all members of your family and guests, so we have no misunderstandings.
Other tidbits of information, which you may find useful, include the following:
- Yoga at CYC - Member Colleen Duggan will be offering a Wednesday morning yoga class. For more information, see Colleen or Treasurer Micki Colquhoun.
- Storage space available next to CYC - The Analine Corporation, which owns the property on the West side of CYC, has storage lockers and space for storing small boats available. For rental information and rates, contact Property Manager Jonne O'Farrell at 207-322-1777 or via email at Ofarrells@roadrunner.com.
- Special perks for members of the Ocean Cruising Club (OCC) - At the December Officers and Directors Meeting, it was voted unanimously to extend to members of the OCC visiting CYC free use of the launch service, a 50% discount on use of CYC moorings and/or floats and access to our luncheon service with cash payment.
In closing, I want to thank, once again, all our Staff, Officers, Directors and Committee Chairpersons for their hard work and effort over the past 6-8 months in getting CYC ready for its 103rd year. As you can see from my comments above and from those of your other Officers, it has been a challenge; but, all is well at your club. The floats go in May 19th and we are planning a great opening party, the annual Chicken BBQ, the evening of Saturday, May 23rd. So please come down and have fun. I look forward to seeing everyone soon at CYC.

Employees
You all should have received an email announcing the hiring of Cullen Teel of Rockland as our new Facilities Manager, which is re-printed here:
WELCOME ABOARD CULLEN TEEL
Greetings,
It is my pleasure to announce to the membership that Mr. Cullen Teel will be assuming the duties of Camden Yacht Club Facilities Manager this season, replacing Doug Hall. Cullen has a deep experience working in commercial and private marine environments, including vessel operations, vessel repair, maintenance, and building and marina facility management and operations. He comes to CYC from Atlantic Challenge in Rockland where he was the Waterfront Programs Director. Cullen holds a current and valid United States Coast Guard Master's License with a 50 ton, near coastal endorsement, and will be operating the launch in addition to his other duties at the Club. He is also an American Sailing Association Certified Instructor and has certification in Boating Safety, Shipboard First Aid and CPR. Cullen makes his home in Rockland with his wife and two children. When you see him, please take the opportunity to introduce yourself and extend a very warm welcome to our newest employee."
In addition to Cullen, Barb Goos starts her second season of yeoman duties as Dockmaster. She will be joined by returning launch drivers, Jerry Entwistle and Luke Morong. Additional part-time drivers may also fill out the roster as necessary to insure un-interrupted service.
It goes without saying that Elaine will be manning the office with her usual efficiency in her continuing capacity of Operations Manager.
