Camden Harbor (not to be used for navigational purposes)
Camden Yacht Club maintains an active cruising fleet. Member boats are found worldwide, but the majority enjoy the beautiful waters of the Maine Coast. The CYC Summer Cruise is always a popular family event.
The Tentative Itinerary is as follows:
2010 CYC Mini-Cruise
Friday August 6th through Sunday August 8th
Aaron Henderson has again offered to organize this year's Mini-Cruise. This year it does not conflict with the Maine Boats and Harbors show so we hope to see more participants!
Proposed itinerary:
Friday August 6th - Seal Bay Vinalhaven. Raft up cocktail / dinner party at 6:00 p.m. Water gun dingy battle for kids.
Saturday August 7th - Race to Mark Island off Deer Isle Thoroughfare, anchor in Webb Cove. Scavenger hunt for kids. Catered lobster dinner ashore provided by Old Quarry Ocean Adventures http://www.oldquarry.com/shop/lobster_bakes.php (note: people not coming by water can drive here and join us!)
Sunday August 8th - Race to Butter Island. Lunch on the island and cruise awards ceremony (competitive categories TBD - we will be creative!). Treasure hunt for kids.
